Fixed Volume output

Hi,

Is it possible to have the volume output as fixed volume (a feature in Sonos and Bluesound) and let the DAC/Ampliflier to control the volume?

Would it be possible to implement fixed volume on AirPlay devices? If so, consider this a feature request.
