none of my folders with dsf files are not getting imported on Mac mini. I have multiple folders of dsf folders that are on the storage disk and are not showing up in Roon. I also created a new directory on the disk and added this folder as a storage folder, still won’t import the files.
Thank you for your post. We’ve examined diagnostics and can see I/O failures in logs during the attempted import.
Try restarting RoonServer and attempting the import again.
The team has a ticket in the pipeline to initiate a retry when these failures occur. This fix isn’t in the current Early Access build, but we do expect it to be released for testing and then merge into a public build soon.
Hi Connor, I’ve rebooted a couple of times, and have tried importing a couple of times then I added a storage device folder pointing to this folder, none of this worked. If you notice, I added a storage device just for a new folder of dsf files and the stats for the storage device indicates 20 tracks were imported. I was fooling around and hen I go to settings/folders, I can see the songs and can play them. But I would like them to be visible within the artists option too. So they are out there. I also noticed that I have folders that contain dsf files within an artist folder that doesn’t show me the album when I bring up the artist.
Thanks
You may need to access the ‘Edit’ option under the issue albums and attempt to manually identify them in order for them to properly appear under the Artist page.
Confirm that the DSF files have the correct “Artist” and “Album Artist” tags.
If the artist field is blank or inconsistent, Roon may not associate the album with the artist correctly.
It may also be worth checking if tracks may be hidden : Go to Settings > General and check if “Show Hidden Tracks and Albums” is enabled.
I purchased these files from ps audio to go along with their book. I don’t think I can send you any of these files. Here is a pic of the folder contents. To get to this folder, I have to go to Roon/folders/then this particular folder, I can’t see this any other way:
Did you add the folder containing the tracks under Roon Settings > Storage?
Based on the screenshot, all the tracks are identified under ‘Various Arists’ so you’ll likely need to manually edit them if you’d like them to show up anywhere else.
