Is it just me, but whenever I make a number of additions or changes to my library, the whole library is rescanned, even if the changes/additions are only on one folder.
This is very different that when I have run Roon or windows or Rock – scanning occurs only on the folder/drive where changes have been made.
What are the experiences of others who have Roon Core on Mac (Sequoia)
I believe that is the case for me as well. But running Sequoia has been a journey of frustration and elation. Running well now, though backups are not working, and when I make changes there is a lag and some rescanning of the library. I also have an M2 Core. For now, it’s working and I’m trying to keep things stable without upgrades running 15.4 and the latest Roon build. Not touching either for as long as possible. Just need it to play music.
That I haven’t seen. I run an 8GB WD Gaming drive as my main library and the same for a backup using Chronosync. Roon backups, which are not backing properly, are on other drives. But normal tags, playlists, etc don’t cause deep scanning of the drives for me. Something to look forward to…
