· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

I was able to format 8Tb SSD but it doesn't show up.

take a look in Roon Settings/storage and see if it is there. It “should” have added a watched folder automatically. If it is there but not "eabled you shoul dbe able to do this using the three dots to the right.
Should look something like this:

You can also map the drive for easier access.
Take a look at this KB article:

I see it showing up under the Internal Music Storage heading, 8001GB Samsung 870. Are you saying its not accessible via the network?

Hello @Jos_Engelen ,

Are you now trying to add content to the SSD after formatting it and are having issues with the Samba share? According to your account profile, it looks like you have a Windows 11 PC, if you type the IP address/Storage/InternalStorage of the Nucleus into Windows Finder header/address bar, are you able to access the folder? Note, that certain versions of Windows 11 have SMBv1 disabled, in case this is applicable to your version, this thread discusses a workaround.

Really? SMBv1 isn’t required to access the network share.

Since the last Windows 11 update it is !!, big thread a few weeks ago

follow @Geoff_Coupe link for the fix.

Set to Private Network. It is more open and less restrictive.

What’s required is guest access. And that’s what’s disabled in Windows 11 24H2. That’s also what the linked article says.

This has nothing to do with smbv1. Nucleus / ROCK supports smbv2 for the longest time.
