Fosi Audio ZD3 DAC OpAmp upgrades/rolling

Hi community,

Does aanyone have actual experience with the twin Sparkos OPAmp upgrade for the Fosi Audio ZD3 XLR output?

Also, any technical tips for the procedure?

Hi Menzies,
Thanks for your message. Especially the videos (and others I found in YouTube) made me think.
Apparently the built-in standard op-amps are great in their own right.
I will stick with these for now and listen what they do after a good burn-in period.

My advice:

Don’t do it.

You will never hear any audible improvement, despite the subjective claims made elsewhere on the internet, however you may royally screw up your DAC’s performance.

I strongly advise reading this and looking at the numbers (yes, I appreciate this is in reference to the V3, however the principles are the same):

You can’t just fit any old op-amp either - some are not stable at low gain multipliers and will oscillate.
