Describe the issue

I frequently encounter the "An audio file is loading slowly" message, which has become a persistent issue over the past month. Previously, this error occurred only very rarely. My Roon Server is hosted on my Windows 10 PC, which is also the machine I use directly—so there’s no Wi-Fi involved; everything operates within the PC. My music files are stored on a separate internal drive, distinct from the system drive where Roon is installed.

Describe your network setup

As I said the Roon Server is located on my Win 10 PC from where I also listen. So no WiFi or network connected devices is used. Everything is in the PC, Roon Server on my system drive and music on another internal drive.

Hey @Chuck_Cogan,

Welcome to the community! We’re excited to have you here.

If possible, can you share a screenshot of your Roon Settings>Storage ?

The next time you experience this issue, please take note of the specific track name, share it here, and then please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

Thank you! :raised_hands:

I did some detective work and discovered that one of my drives wasn’t at 100% health. After transferring all the files from that drive to another, the problem hasn’t occurred again. So, I’m guessing that was the root cause of the issue.

Thanks!
