Describe the issue

Every single time I want to use ARC, I can’t.
Or, arc got uninstalled by phone, redownload does require you to reconnect with Roon server again, which in turn only works locally. Or it gets disconnected because of …? Roon server updates? That’s every week or so.
When reconnecting ARC with Roon server for the 100st time, it fails 1 out of 2. Checking roon server at ARC tab, everything is correct. When reconnecting with ARC, a roon server is found, I can select a profile, but ‘there’s an issue preventing access. All of this on home WiFi, the only way that works.
Then, another random time, it gets connected, just until the next time I want to use it.
ARC is totally unusable, very unstable. I wish roon app could still output to local phone. With vpn connection, this was way more stable than roon ARC to listen on the road.
please make roon ARC an app we can count on to use. Instead of making features for it nobody ever reaches.
Thank you.

Describe your network setup

Provider WAN modem (no choice) - ubiquity edgerouter8 - tp-link t1700g-28tq - netgear gs308 - rock on intel nuc. All wired.
Phone on unifi WiFi access points, same network.
No problem with Roon and 4-5 Roon bridges and sonos.

Hey @Dieter_De_Bels,

Since port forwarding seems to be inconsistent for you, perhaps testing out using Tailscale as a way to access Arc would be worth a try - here’s more info:

Let me know if this helps! :+1:
