Description of Issue

Starting a few days ago before 4/30/2023, whenever I start the Roon client app, I’m prompted to login at the “Login or sign up” screen. After entering my credentials and clicking on Login, I get a small “Logging in” popup that never goes away unless I click on the window. The login never completes, however. This means I cannot login Roon. Meanwhile, I’m able to login successfully at the Roonlabs.com Website. After each failed login attempt in the client, I get a “Roon Security Alert” e-mail. There is no option to confirm that it is me attempting to log in.

The only work around is system reboot. And having to reboot each time I want to use the Roon app is unacceptable.

Hey @aaronfb1,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write in, and welcome to the community! I’m very sorry for the extended delay in following up on your thread. Let’s start with testing out a fresh Roon database on your core device. Steps to follow below:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:
