This is a great accessory for improving digital audio sound quality. It has multiple features and use cases:
- passing audio from a PC via USB and outputting it in spdif (optical/coaxial/bnc/aes) for input into a DAC
- re-clocking spdif signals to reduce jitter
- converting spdif audio to USB audio e.g. for recording on a PC or for a DAC that only has a USB input
