I have a Rogue Audio Sphinx V3 and my dealer recently sold me some Genelex Gold Lion 12AU7 tubes to replace the stock JJs and holy cr*p. They were pricey but the difference they made, I can’t quite describe it but everything is better. The bass is so heavy now it’s like I added a subwoofer and the soundstage opened right up. If anyone else is running tube gear or in my case a hybrid tube setup I can’t recommend enough rolling in some higher quality tubes. It really adds something for not a huge amount of money! All in I spend $150 and it’s like I bought a new pair of speakers.

Congrats on your success. The GL tubes get good reviews. I’m currently running Sylvania NOS in my 2A3 amp and they sound very good. I’ve got a PrimaLuna running KT150s and I’m using RCA clear tops in that one. The bass is amazing with this combo. There are a lot of really good 12AU7s out there. Even JJ has the ECC802-S which is supposed to be top of the line. Welcome to another black hole for audiophiles: tube rolling.
The thing is these are so good that I have no interest in trying anything else. I previously rolled in some NOS RCA clear tops and they had issues. After having a hassle with an old Marantz 2235b I will never buy vintage gear again. I just want my system to work.
