Getting lossless playback with Audioengine A2+ through Macbook USB

I know this is probably an easy setting fix, but when using the powered Audioengine A2+ desktop speakers through the Macbook USB output as a Roon endpoint, it states “high quality” I guess because it’s somehow going through the Mac’s processing.

How do I bypass that, or is it even possible? Some sort of MIDI setting?
