Google CCA as a Roon streamer?

As a newcomer to the world of streaming, does anyone have experience using a Google Chromecast Audio puck to feed bits to the dac?
I’m aware of the 96/24 “upper limit”, but curious if there is another limitation I not aware of.

I use three CCA units myself and swear by them, worst thing Google did was stop making them.
Use Home to first set them up on the network and Roon sees them right away.
You can get an adapter to run them wired but all of mine run solid on WiFi.
SQ is more than good enough IMHO.
