Google Home stereo using non-Google speakers

I have two identical non-Google smart speakers connected to Roon via Chromecast streaming. I’d like to make them a stereo pair. Google doesn’t support grouping non-Google speakers as a stereo pair.

I see old articles talking about using “DSP” to map the left channel to one speaker, the right channel to the other and grouping them in Roon.

I don’t see DSP when I look at the settings for these speakers. Is it still possible to do this? Do I need an extension?

Thanks for any help

AFAIK you can group any Chromecast/Google Cast Speakers.

Group them in the Google Home App and Roon will see both, the single speakers as well as the groups.

Alternatively, you can also group them in Roon.

They won’t be a stereo pair using this method

Sorry, I read over the stereo speaker condition.

I don‘t have experience with grouping speakers to stereo.
