Hey @Mark_Hickey,

Thanks for sharing the error code! Here are the next steps to troubleshoot:

  • Turn on UPnP on your router and try to run Roon’s port forwarding test again.

  • Try to set up manual port forwarding in your router.

    • Make sure the IP/Port matches in any port forwarding rule you create.
  • Double-check to make sure you don’t have any VPNs, Firewalls, or other network filtering software blocking Roon.

  • Check if your modem is in Bridge mode.

  • Restart your network hardware and update firmware.

I’m working through your suggestions.

my UPnP on router is on. No change in getting port forwarding to work.

my modem is not in bridge mode. Before I change it want to verify it needs to be in bridge mode for Roon ARC to work.

My other question relates to your comment on VPNs, firewalls, etc. I have a firewall on for may desktop computer and also use virus protection. I don’t think this affects my Roon core since it’s on the Nucleus. Does that make sense?

Hey @Mark_Hickey,

In your setup, setting your modem to bridge mode may very well be the trick to getting Arc to connect properly.

If you were having connection issues with your desktop I would say the issue properly lies within the firewall settings. However, in this case I would only review your router firewall settings as that will have direct connection to your Nucleus.
