Make sure both devices are on the same network subnet…

Also check if the router is set to filter broadcast packets (IGMP is used by Roon for device discovery) if it is disable the filtering.

The Android compatibility layer on ChromeOS does not give applications “real” network access and breaks our discovery protocol. You will need to manually enter the IP address of your core in order to connect. Click “Help” here:

Enter the IP address of your Core here:

This will allow you to use your ChromeOS device as a remote, though you will have go through this process again if the IP address of your core ever changes. Audio output will still be unavailable in this situation.

that didn’t work

Hi @MIKE_Prussian,

What happened when you entered the IP address of the Core? Did you get any errors?

Are other remote devices able to connect to the Nucleus okay?

@mike, did you give up or get it to work?

I am having the same issue with the slate and thinking about returning it. Appreciate it.

I returned the google Slate. Great screen, amazing for reading newspapers, but it was to buggy.
