Roon Core Machine

Grimm Audio MU1 server, OS Version Linux 4.19.10-tinycore64 and Roon Ver 1.8 (build 831).

Networking Gear & Setup Details

All devices on Ethernet network.

Connected Audio Devices

Grimm MU1 is connected to the network via an Innuos PhoenixNet switch and to Kii Three speakers by AES/EBU digital cable.
Two Naim Audio Mu-so end points connected to the network.
iPad Pro (11” second generation) and iPhone 12 running Roon app Ver 1.8 (build 831).

Number of Tracks in Library

7,200 tracks.

Description of Issue

Playback from the Grimm MU1 internal SSD to the Kii Three speakers stops randomly. Playback to Naim Mu-so end points is not affected.
When playback stops the progress bars on the Grimm MU1 display and Roon app continue to count down the track time.
The stopped track cannot be restarted by pressing Pause then Play.
To re-play the stopped track I need to reboot the Grimm MU1, however, I can play another album by clearing the queue.
Two stoppages occurred on 18 October. Track details and the approximate time (GMT) of the stoppage are as follows:
06:26 Altitude Dub Continuum - Underworld / The Necks
06:59 Menysid - Nicolas Jaar

I would appreciate if you could examine the files to see what is causing these stoppages.

Thank you for taking a moment to describe the issue you are experiencing in detail and for providing logs :nerd_face:

It looks like the playback is interrupted by a failure in connecting your speakers (Kii Three) to your Core.

You mentioned your Core being connected via an Innuos PhoenixNet switch. As a test, would you be able to directly connect it to the router instead? Are there any changes?

Also, are your Kii Three speakers updated to the latest firmware? Could you please check?

Finally, as a test, do you have another cable to use (between the Kii Threes and Core) instead of the AES/EBU digital cable you are using now?
