· I need a step by step guide of how to use a container set up for roon on either a qnap Ts-453 or a ugreen 4800 plus. I have tried to follow the guide to set it all up,but no luck.I have no experience with docker etc,so need step by step hand holding to set up please.

· Zyxel router with 1 gigabit up,and down.2.5gb switch with 6 ports. I have looked at the router and there is no model number. Everything worked great until the update,and the need to run container and docker. Try as I might this humpty can't get it working on either Nas.help.....

Did you remove the previous roon installation, and do you have Container station up and running on your QNAP?
Figuring out the correct share paths for you individual setup I found to be the most difficult issue on QNAP machines. You need to know in which folder your music is, where to install the Container folder, and how to copy existing backup data to the location containerized roon can see.
If you are uncertain about that, feel free to share screenshots of your volume/folder structure in File Station, so roon staff or members of this board can assist in composing the correct paths.

A screenshot of your QNAP File Station showing your folder structure (where your music is stored) would help us give you the exact paths to use in the Docker compose file.
I did uninstall roon server and app. Container station is installed and running,tried following the guide,but got in all sorts of grief,and confused. I will have another try after

Don’t know how that happened as my computer has been out of action for 2 days or so,grrrrr. I can’t seem to win at the moment,everything seems to be going wrong for me. I am still working on trying to get my pc back to running
Sad news,my motherboard has died.I have tried absolutely everything to save it this past 2 days or so.I am gutted,so I may have to replace it with more updated system,but cost would be a problem. I will have to consider my options carefully.
Think it may be a good idea to close this thread,because I obviously won’t be able to sort out my Roon issue,Sorry.
Sorry to hear about the motherboard, that’s a rough way to lose a couple of days.
One thing worth knowing: a dead motherboard doesn’t touch your data, that lives on the drive itself, not the board. A proper repair shop or data recovery service can pull the drive and read it on another machine, so nothing should be lost there even if the board isn’t salvageable.
No rush either way. We will close this out now and open it up for whenever you’re back up and running.
