I am aware that there have been other requests for a STOP button but I am suggesting this for different functionality and for a different reason.
I would like a STOP button that not only stops the music but also releases exclusive control of the Windows audio system. Roon core is running on my main Windows computer which runs 24/7 so we have access to music at any time. I, like many others, sometimes use music streaming services other than the 2 that are supported directly in Roon (Amazon, Apple, etc.). The apps for these other services are locked out and can’t play music currently because of Roon’s exclusive control. The only way to use the other services is close Roon, which frees up Windows, but then Roon is not available to be used elsewhere. Once it has been stopped, exclusive control could then be restarted when music is played on the Windows machine using Roon.
Another option would be to create an Exclusive Control on/off switch in settings.
