I can’t see any other posts so is it just me?
I’ve tried rebooting everything a couple time (iMac) but it’s not as lightning fast as it used to be.
Third reboot seems have sorted it.
I’m also having slow, laggy performance after last update. It gets better after a reboot but only for awhile then the performance deteriorates again, especially after adding to or making a change in my library.
Same here. It was ok for a while but it’s getting slower again.
Same here, very laggy the last few days.
Have you restarted the server since the update , it often helps
Worked just fine for me last evening. (With files streamed from qobuz) . I just had to turn my vpn one time on and off because roon didn’t see my endpoint again
Same here, slow and laggy performance since the last update.
A reboot helps for a short while, but is required daily.
I have exactly the same problem here. After adding the Smart Playlists the server was slow and there are big gaps between the tracks. After restart the server the performance was good for a while. After a while it was slow again. I don’t have these issues before.
I use ROCK on a NUC11 i7.
Same here, i have dropouts and laggy performance at ROCK with Intel i7 NUC12. Sometimes the music just stops and “searching for audio device” message comes up to two or three times before i can select the output device again. It is an very annoying bug and new with the latest update. Radio Streams stops randomly too. I do have an ultrafast ethernet network at home and a Eversolo DMP-A8 / Cambride Audio MXN10 / Teac NT505x and a iMac Pro. Rebooted my NUC now the third time, but the issue is coming up from time to time again.
Just my two cents, I am also experiencing this since the latest update. Loading artists, albums, and searches take very long.
Guys,
If you require help from the support team, please open a support request in the Support category of the forum which is monitored by Roon.
Note, the Support link is clickable and will take you to the correct place to create your request by clicking on the “Get Help” button.
Thank you.
I’ve also noticed slower response from Roon (NUC 8 i7/16Gb ram), but for me it started before the latest update. Especially adding a Qubuz album to my library takes like forever. Restart helps a lot but only for a day or so.
Which leads me to think that a feature “automatic scheduled restart” would be nice. In that case I would make an automatic restart every 2 days at night.
It’s called routine. Start network > Brew Coffee> Start Roon Server - Job Done
The network connection to the internet must be up before starting Roon otherwise you will see “metadata errors”
I shut down all electronics overnight in the summer so this is my routine first thing in a morning
Same problem, on ubuntu 22.04
Fortunately, restarting roon server solves the problem (temporarily)
Hi Geoff, can we have this looked without having us all open a ticket? Seems to be a pretty common problem. Cheers.
If you open a ticket then the support team will be able to pull logs for further investigation. If nobody bothers to open a ticket, then the issue will just drag on. Remember that not all the 250,000+ customers of Roon are seeing this, so Roon Labs need to get more information about the issue.

Ok, will do, Geoff. Sorry about the thread turning into a bun fight!
No problems here.
