I am a 100% headphone user, for many years I have had Volume Levelling set to Auto to avoid any unpleasant experiences
Of late I feel like I am having to adjust the volume (up or down) a lot more than I ever did. The config is unchanged even On Demand is set to fast. Has anyone noticed a change or is it my imagination.
Does it maybe tie in with scheduled analysis , if I am playing new imports or Tidal before a scheduled analysis ??

Mine is set to auto as well but I’ve never found it that helpful; old recordings are still a lot quieter than new ones - requiring regular volume changes
I have had the feeling that Volume Levelling changed too
Tidal does the number crunching in advance, ie not done by Roon although it uses the same R128 algorithm; scheduled analysis should be irrelevant for Tidal.
There was reference to a bug fix in levelling in the release notes a few releases ago, but it wasn’t specific about what was fixed.
I’ve not noticed any change, although I always use ‘Album’ rather than ‘Auto’.
You might be imagining it but - probably more likely - if you are listening to new/different music that may have been mastered to achieve a different feel, the effect of levelling could be perceived differently.
Levelling will adjust so that the perceived loudness is consistent; it won’t always adjust the level to the loudness you would set manually… there are too many other variables in play.
I use Album but haven’t noticed any changes
