Hegel H390 and Ropieee on HifiBerry digi pro+

While waiting for Roon support on my Hegel H390 I have set up Ropieee on a HifiBerry Digi pro+ using the optical output. My question is with MQA. When playing MQA what (or if) does the final unfolding - the Hegel?

MQA unfolding question

AFAIK you will only get the first unfold from Roon. The second unfold has to occur on the DAC – or not at all. See also Roon x MQA.

As far as I understand it the H390, unlike other Hegels, does MQA unfolding on all the digital inputs. You should be able check it by playing an MQA file that unfolds to 192 as it’ll show that in the Hegel’s display.
