Help - Not sure what Roon is showing for this album

I started to use Roon during the weekend and noticed this for one of my CDs. I’ve trying to find in the documentation what this mean without luck. It seems is considering a group of the song? which is very weird as each one is just 1 mp3.

Not sure what is the notation: “1-1” or “2-2”. This album was identified by Roon.

Please help me understand what this mean and how can I fix it.

Can you take a look at these files on your hard drive? What do the files look like?

Do you have more than one copy of the album in a single folder?

I’ve gotten the same thing here from time-to-time. I don’t have reproducible steps, but I do know that it happens spontaneously, and it may be related to adding/modifying tracks at the file level. For me, it only happens with albums that are already in my Library; usually box sets to which I add a previously omitted disc. Between merging the new disc and sometimes having to re-identify an album, I can end up with track listings like the above.

I haven’t seen a “new” album display this behavior.

Hi Mike - I have just 1 copy of each mp3.

Thanks for the comment Jeff. Were you able to solve the issues?

The only thing different I did was adding manually track 14 that was not listed when I identified the album from Roon.

I see this too.

I once saw it come and go depending whether I also had a Tidal copy of the album. But I wasn’t able to reproduce.

Cesar, I did the same and experienced the same issue. Don’t know the deeper cause, but I do know that a simple re-identification (and perhaps a re-scan) solved it instantly. Please let us know if this solves your issue too.

I’ve seen this on many occasions… And I find the best way to resolve it is to Re-Identify the album using the 3-dot menu

You are given the choice in the top left hand corner of that screen to pick a particular release or version… And by clicking on the correct one of these usually allows the Track List to revert to a One Track per Line display

Thanks guys but is not working. This album (Peligro 2011 from Reik) just has 1 release in Roon. I’ve tried to re-identified and no changes. I also noticed something weird, I deleted the folder of this album and moved track #14 out of the folder thinking that maybe Roon was going to fix the issue by finding just 13 tracks as Roon just found a release with 13 tracks but again it showed me 14 tracks !!!. Does Roon has a cache of previous files added? I don’t know how to explain this unless this is somehow stored in the file tags which I removed with MP3tag !!!.

Anyway still dealing with this. It’s getting a little bit frustrating how good Roon handles certain albums and then I found cases like this that are taking me hours and hours to understand / fix. Not giving up yet so let’s see what else I can do.

Anybody from the metadata group (@support ) can give me a hand?

Can you click on the “3 dots” and choose File Info for first two rows (which both say Déjate Llevar)?

I’d like to know the path that’s shown for each. Screenshots would be helpful here.

Ok got it fixed. I had to found another set of mp3s. It seems something was wrong with my own files - My wife had another rip of this album.

I’m thinking that the previous files were renamed before. Still few things to understand about how Roon work but I have few other issues that I need to fix so leaving this one for later.

Thanks a lot for your help.
