Please supply more details on what you mean by “forced a backup” and now Roon “won’t run”… Thank you.
I’d just moved my core from my Nucleus + to my Mac mini. After waiting about 4 days for indexing to finish I set up a new backup. It wouldn’t work and so I pushed the force backup button and now Roon won’t open.
Right, so now we know that:
Yes, sorry m, I can be a tad impatient sometimes
I had to go out after I pushed the force backup button and when I got home I noticed that a few bytes had seemed to backup but it didn’t seem to be a proper backup.
Trying to open roon I kept getting a prompt
to login in between seeing the Roon logo.
So you get the redirect to the web browser asking you to login, and once you do that you are returned to the Roon screen showing the pulsing Roon logo?
Yes, repeat and rinse….
And how long do you wait when you have the pulsing Roon logo before you kill Roon and start again?
I believe that you have 700,000 tracks in your library. I have 70,000, and after a major upgrade of Roon Server, it can take several minutes of the pulsing Roon logo before Roon Server completes its first start up…
Roon ran well when I first set it up on the Mac.
But now it just won’t start.
It’s asking me to login again.
I just de-authorised my Mac server and now it’s come back (on the Mac) reindexing again and over 700,000 tracks showing.
