I have two days left on my free subscription, and I’m considering the lifetime subscription. I’ve searched the community and can’t find the answer to this question:
I know the LS will attach to this Nucleus. I think it is unlikely i would ever need another Nucleus, but if my current nucleus gets zapped in lightening, would a replacement nucleus go under the lifetime subscription, or not?
Better stated, does the lifetime subscription apply to one device per that lifetime, or to any device per that lifetime (provided there is always only one device on the account)?
The lifetime license (or any other type for that matter) is assigned to a Roon core (in this case, your Nucleus), but can be re-assigned at any given time by you, and that for as many times as you want.
Thank you for getting in touch. Your Lifetime Subscription is tied to your account, not a specific device. You can migrate your Core to another machine anytime you like.
You can even migrate your Core to a laptop to take with you when traveling and then reactivate your Nucleus Core when you return. The only thing to be aware of is that you can only use one Core machine at a time with a single license (subscription) Meaning that your Nucleus couldn’t be used simultaneously at your home while you’re using the laptop Core on the go.
If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask, we’re happy to help!
