· I've been having issues with connecting to my hifi rose with rood and recently reset the Rose and now it does not pair with roon at all
Tell us about your home network
· It's a quantum fiber router but all other bluetooth items like the rose unit itself and apple tv work flawlessly. I'm using a MAC OS 15 as the server
First, re-toggle Local Network access for Roon in your MacOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Roon and Mac updates tend to default this setting back and cause the OS to block Roon’s network visiblity.
Do you have multiple mesh nodes in your network setup? Multicast forwarding needs to be functioning between nodes to ensure that device discovery traffic/mDNS gets through between the Rose and Roon.
You mentioned the Bluetooth receiver was on. Is the Rose visible in any other audio software, like the Qobuz/Tidal native apps? Are you relying on an Ethernet or WiFi connection to the Rose? Have you enabled Ethernet and/or wifi in the Rose settings itself?
We’ll watch for your reply and proceed from there. Thanks!
I have no bluetooth receiver. It does hookup with my kitchen blu sound and I’m using wifi which works with all my other systems. Toggling on the roon network did not change the situation
Do you have any mesh nodes or access points in addition the router you listed in your original post?
Please first try the suggestion @vadim has shared above. Then restart the Rose itself to generate a network discovery announcement.
If that doesn’t help, then enter your router settings page and look for options related to multicast forwarding. Ensure this feature is enabled.
Next, try restricting the WiFi to a single band (2.4GHz instead of 5.0GHz or both). If you see a setting named Band Steering or similar, try disabling that, and then refresh the Roon Settings → Audio page.
