My current HiFi setup with Dirac ART – hearing music in a new way
I’ve just taken my system to the next level – quite literally:
As of yesterday, Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART) became available for my Denon AVC-X3800H. I immediately purchased, installed, and calibrated it – alongside Dirac Live Full Bandwidth + Bass Control.
The result? Stunning. Precise. Expansive. Real.
I now listen to music via a dedicated 2.2 stereo setup with two active subwoofers (managed by Dirac Bass Control), while Dirac ART uses my full 5.2.4 home theater system for real-time active room correction – across all channels.

Listening impressions
The combination of Full Bandwidth, Bass Control and ART is simply mind-blowing:
- Bass is deep, tight, and clean – never bloated.
- Vocals are centered and embodied with clarity.
- Highs are airy without being sharp.
- Soundstage? Studio-grade precision – now spatially stabilized across all speakers thanks to ART.
With this setup, Roon becomes a truly immersive experience – giving me full control over space and tone, with zero compromise between high-end stereo and immersive multichannel playback.
