HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro original case: cpu question

Hi everyone,

just a curiosity.

I’m thinking to buy an HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro and I see its “official” case from their website.

For what I understand, it’s passive cooling (like the Flirc case) but I don’t see any thermal paste inside the accessories with the case.

It’s safe for the cpu to be, without any active cooling and even without any thermal paste?

Yes pi CPUs for audio don’t normally need any active cooling. If you really push it and it’s doing other tasks then you might want to add a heat sink but if it is just being a roon end point then it’s not needed.
