I have an extra 11.6" HP notebook that I want to use as a core. The maximum resolution is 1366 x 768. When I installed Roon I got an error message that I needed to go to fullscreeen or higher resolution. Is there any work around this error message or any way to increase resolution?
If you don’t need to use the laptop as a control device, just load RoonServer and use a tablet for control.
Great idea. I installed RoonServer on the netbook. I have an external hard drive that I connected to the netbook. I connected the netbook to my AV receiver via HDMI. The receiver is Roon compatible. In Roon setup, I cannot locate the netbook. What am I doing wrong?
If your remote device finds and is connecting to Roon so that you are able to get into setup, you have done nothing wrong. Next you need to identify and enable the HDMI output of the Netbook in Settings, Audio.
