How can I add a new track to an imported playlist?

I imported a bunch of playlists from iTunes when I switched to Roon. Now I’ve got a newly ripped track that I want to add to one of them, but “Add to playlist” doesn’t show any of the legacy playlists. How can I add a new track to an old playlist?

Hi Vince,

Did you get this sorted? Essentially, you can’t add tracks to an iTunes playlist through Roon. But there’s a couple of options.

  1. Add the track to the playlist in iTunes. Not the option you want if you’re phasing out iTunes.
  2. Go to Playlists Browser and select the iTunes Playlist. Click the 3 dots icon and select Edit. Then select Save Local Copy. You will now be able to add to this playlist. The iTunes playlist will still be in Roon as well. To get rid of it (if you want), it must be deleted in iTunes.

Thanks, Greg. I came to a similar answer, I made a new playlist with a similar name and added the old one to it. I might prefer your #2, though.
