I’m currently away from my Roon Server and want to continue a long overdue library clean up. I’m familiar in the main Roon interface with using Focus and selecting unidentified albums but I can’t see a way of doing it in ARC. Is it possible to do this? Have I managed to miss something very obvious?
ARC doesn’t have full Focus options, just Tags. It’s meant as a mobile player. Use the main Roon app for complex stuff and library maintenance, and preferably not a phone but a tablet or PC, at least when doing more complex stuff, because the phone app is not feature complete (the main Roon app on the phone is also targeted toward being mainly a playback control)
Nevertheless, Focus in ARC would still be nice even for a mobile player, just to be helpful for finding something to play. However, this would be a feature suggestion and you can add your vote to the existing one:
Hi, if you go to track or album view in the main app, focus on Identified and hit minus, you are viewing unidentified tracks/albums. If you hit Create Smart Playlist and save it to your playlists you now have a smart playlist containing all the unidentified stuff. You can then pull this smart playlist up on ARC (once ARC has refreshed, it will see it), which is almost the same as being able to filter for it directly.
You can set up smart playlists to cover any other often-used focuses in this way
