just plug in a wifi dongle and see it it turns up in the GUI. you might need to reboot the Rock system first
My MOCK has a wifi card internally on the MoBo and ROCK sees it no problem.
There is a more assured way to do this assuming ROCK recognises your Ethernet chipset. Use a WiFi access point and connect to your machine using Ethernet.
Right now, Ethernet. What would you recommend?
I use the Asus RP-N12. In my home I have good wireless coverage so this device gets the job done seamlessly.
Awesome! I could not remember what they where called, thanks. I wish they would integrate it into Roon.
There is in the best networking practices KB note a warning or recommendation NOT TO USE WIFI ON A CORE MACHINE
dont say you were not told
This is not going to be a Core, I want to use this an an endpoint.
Great advice, and absolutely correct. But there are times when people don’t always have alternatives, and in those instances there is a case for offering best practice in worst case scenarios.
