Why don’t they send if I have a response to my email account?
Under profile preferences on this forum there’s an email section. You can set alerts to your liking there.
Specifically, this part of the page:
Email me when I am quoted, replied to, my @username is mentioned, or when there is new activity in my watched categories, tags or topics
