I built an NUC ROCK and want to upgrade. My thinking was to sell my old one.
How can I wipe the internal SSD (with Roon on it) to make it suitable for sale to a purchaser?
Or is there a better alternative?
Thanks!

There is a database reset button in the Web UI
So to migrate to the new device … would I just take my database backup, which is on a USB stick, remove it from the NUC, and then simply install on the new one?
I answered your question about making the old NUC ready for sale. Deleting the database seems sufficient for me. I wouldn’t bother removing the OS - either they will continue to use Roon or install whatever they want, anyway.
Your new questions seems to be more about how you should migrate Roon from the old NUC to your new one. For this, it’s best to follow the online guide:
Ok thanks!
If you want to wipe the drive completely (no data left on drive) you could use the windows media creation tool to make a bootable windows install usb and use it to erase the drive.
Or use a program like EaseUS to create a bootable USB drive with a partition manager to wipe the disk. (it has a free download version)
I would keep the old server as a backup.
Thanks for the advice everybody
You can also use any Linux distro installed and running from a USB stick to remove all the partitions.
But I’ll go with Jim_F on this one. Keep the old one as a backup. I still have my old Mac Mini stored for the same reason.
