How does one omit an album from a smart playlist?

I’ve created a smrt playlist for working out. It contains some metal (various subgenres), and some rap. Every album has high energy, etc. But occasionally an album is included that isn’t a good fit and I’d like to omit it. I tried, and failed, at creating a tag for that album called ‘no workout’,but I could’t figure out how to exclude just that tag.

Has anyone run into a similar problem?

You should be able to click the tag and change it to a negative.

What I would like, is to add an album to a tag ‘no workout’ AND the various subgenres that fit with my workout vibe. That’s what I can’t figure out how to do.

I mean click the ‘-’ on the ‘no workout’. So it’s - no workout AND the subgenres of interest. Like (‘Alternative Metal’ OR ‘Rap’) AND ‘- no workout’.
