How much does the Roon cloud back end contribute or detract from performance?

I just wonder. Noting that this forum is consistently very slow to load, and that the server seems to be slow sometimes when the local situation is the same as when it was performing more quickly, and sometimes feels cyclical - i.e. seems worse on Friday evenings when US Roonies are kicking back with some tunes. Any thoughts?
