After reinstalling the Roon app, I cannot get the Live Radio browser to work. I am now trying to add a station’s URL in My Live Radio. But where do I get the URL? I tried tunein’s URL for KING-FM, which worked, but tunein’s URL for KDFC doesn’t seem to work.
I could add both of these via the TuneIn URL (although I couldn’t play them as I am in UK and Tunein restrictions apply).
However, the TuneIn URL for KDGC which worked for me is
https://tunein.com/radio/KDFC-903-s35953/
but
Both stations are already in the database
KDFC Classical California 90.3 FM
KING-HD2 Classical KING: Classical Calm
How does one get at that database?
The database Brian is referring to is the “Live Radio” Database that is in Roon. You just need to “Search” for a station and the search “should” find it (if it is in the database). Just make sure you are using “Search” and not “Filter”. If the station is not in the database let us know and we will add it (if there is a good URL for it).
For the stations above I search for:
“kdfc” and “king fm” and found them.
If you want to “see” what is in the database you could request to be a Live Radio curator (we are volunteers helping to add stations and try to address/filter/escalate issues)… but I am not sure that is what you are looking for??
Dear @James_Antognini :
Roon’s Live Radio database has an entry for KING-FM’s primary FM station stream and entries for the streams of its two HD Radio subchannels.
KING-FM Classical KING
KING-HD2 Classical KING: Classical Calm
KING-HD3 Classical KING: Classical Christmas
To see all three of these stations in Roon, please click the magnifying glass icon to the left of your round profile avatar in the top-right corner of Roon’s interface, type classical king in the search field, and press return or enter on your keyboard to perform a global search. Matching entries from Roon’s Live Radio database will appear at the bottom of the search results page.
You can also find these stations by browsing the Live Radio database by location. To browse by location, click Live Radio [not My Live Radio] on Roon’s sidebar, scroll to the Categories section and click the Locations icon, click United States, and click Washington.
Best regards,
RU
Thanks. With your information it’s clearer.
