How can I adjust the amount of albums on the page?
That function isn’t changeable. It used to be but was changed quite a few releases ago.
Actually this feature is still available for the Albums view if using an iPad as controller. Go to Settings>General>Browsing Preferences and select “Allow for more covers and photos.” This will reduce the image size in the Albums view to show more images.

Maybe it was just windows. Or maybe my advanced years…
