My existing iTunes library is poorly and inconsistently tagged for Genre tags. In Roon, is there a simple way to automatically reduce my Roon library down to just a few core genres? For example, is there a way to quickly reduce a large list of sub-genres down to:
Also, it should be easy to separate out Holiday music. I suspect most users treat that as it’s own genre, independent of musical style.
I certainly class Holiday as a separate genre regardless of the actual musical style.

Are you using Roon Genres or Genres From Your File Tags or both?

My source iTunes library has pretty gnarly tagging, so I’ve been using the Roon defult – just Roon genres without those from File Tags.
I think the short answer to your question then is No. There isn’t an easy way to do it. You can edit the genres in each album, but that really isn’t practical.
Try using the Focus feature to narrow down what you want to hear.
Maybe others might have a better suggestion.
