How to enable metadata support which are in cue files

I may have missed a checkbox in Roon setup, but how can I enable that Roon is taking metadata from cue file which in same directory as the FLAC file?

Also I saw some older topics where cue file at this time (2017) are not supported.

As of now (2025) they still aren’t (to my knowledge). So there is no checkbox or setting for you to enable.

So this means Roon can’t, upps. :frowning:

Ok I saw there are some cue splitter apps, I will try to use that. Hopefully they do not reencoded etc.

Try CUETools. I have ued for years

Avoid Medieval apparently not 100%

I endet up with Flacon.
was very precisely and need jut 2 click

    1. Convert

Roon was able to recognized and endrich with his metadata perfectly.
For bigger jobs (240CD) two recomandations.

  • split convertings jobs in Flacon in max 30-40 CD parts
  • For Roon import I had to increase the ram in my roon proxmox VM from 8 to 16GB (4 cores are almost to 85%) but after 10 min all “roon tagging” are done.
