On a Roon Remote session, I see:
How do I get my server to the same level as my remote session? (The server is Win11 Pro x64.)
Have you tried downloading and installing manually from Roon’s download page?
I needed to update due to an out-of-synch issue with my Server and Remotes and it worked fine updating manually.
I’ve not tried re-installing. Do I need to uninstall Roon first? If yes, can I use a backup from the first installation to recover state in the second installation?
While it always is a good practice to have your Roon backups available, you should not have to use one unless your current Roon database is corrupted. And I did not uninstall Roon before I reinstalled a fresh version, the more recent version should overwrite the older one. On your Roon Server computer you will need to close Roon Server to perform the update (the update cannot occur if Roon Server is running).
I don’t use Tidal so not sure. Have you made sure you are logged out of Tidal on your Roon Server and all of your devices, then log into Tidal again? If so, I recommend opening a Support ticket with Roon to assist you. The link is here:
