Hi, Sorry if I missed it, but where do I get information on obtaining a second license for my account?
I will be living in a different country for several months and want to setup another roon core at that location. I will bring my music library on an external drive.
I understand that I could deauthorize one roon core and authorize another at a different location, but I also read somewhere that the both cores have to be online for this to work. When I move to the other location I will be powering down everything at my home. Seems a second license is the way to go.
Thank you for this information which helped. So, if I logout of my Roon core and power down at my home before leaving on the trip, I can then setup (authorize) another roon core elsewhere? I don’t need to leave the roon core powered on at my home for the new authorization to work?
I’m just another Roon user and don’t have your use case. As you need to setup two Cores anyway, can you not just try it out and then decide on further action(s) if needed?
Both Cores do NOT have to be online for this to work. The authorization information is held at Roon Labs in the Cloud and your currently online Core communicates with that to get authorization…
