hello,
easy question I suppose but I don’t want to make silly mistake
I have a NUC on which I want to install rock.
this NUC has for now windows on it.
should I do anything before i boot with rock Linux usb key?
or should I simply follow the rock install instructions without taking into account windows installed OS?
will it self erase windows stuffs and work automatically?
thanks!
JC
As long as you can disable fast boot and enable legacy boot it should reformat the drive and work just fine.
If you want to use the nuc with windows at a later time, you might take the drive out and save it, replacing it with a small drive for ROCK

Hi JC I would recommend updating the firmware and BIOS using the Intel tool before you begin the install.
They may already be up to date, but worth checking and making sure.
