After a recent update I no longer see my Ropiee as a zone choice. Also I no longer see it under Roon settings → Extensions. What am I missing? How do I re-add the extension?
I don’t recall this being that complicated, but the only direction I’m seeing on Windows is build a linux VM, add docker, and go thru all of that to add Roon Extension Manager, which isn’t something I did in the past.
Yeah I’ve had that issue in the past, but currently I don’t see it as my extension list is currently blank, how do I re-add it. The Ropiee side is working fine as is unless rebuilding it automatically adds it to the extension list in Roon?
Thx for the replies… I was assuming wrongly I needed the Extensions to be configured by me… per your replies its not the case. Lights look normal, its getting an IP address, I can get to it on a web browser, only I don’t see it on my Router as a client. I’ll post back when I get to the bottom of that.
So as I said I can get an IP address. Its not showing up in Roon as it’s no longer detecting a USB attached DAC. I tried both my normal (been working with it fine for a year or two) Topping and cheaper mobile usb style DAC. Both just list “not detected”. I tried both with the usb dock/extension I’ve been using and just straight into the Rasperry pie USB ports. I dunno, maybe this pie just is failing?
Just to close this out. The issue I had was a couple of things. First the OTG USB NIC/Hub that I bought from Amazon, partially fried. It would provide power, but not USB Hub. Secondly I think my SDcard is failing, swapped with a new as the original started throwing windows event log read/write errors. Finally I got a “new” Pi Zero W2 as I was convinced the old one was bad, instead I got shipped a older Pi Zero 1.1? Which doesn’t boot Ropiee images and got me down a rabbit hole that kinda didn’t exist. I’m back to the original Pi Zero W2, no USB NIC, and playing tunes to my Topping D90SE via Wi-Fi for now.
