How to remove Tidal from autostart [Answered]

Unfortunately, Roon does not work if the Tidal app is open. For some reason, Tidal autostarts every time the Mac is rebooted. I cannot find a way to stop it automatically starting. All internet info says to go to Preferences -> Users -> login and uncheck it. However, Tidal is not shown amongst the login items. Any idea? It’s not critical, but annoying. Power goes sometimes and my Mac reboots, then I spend half an hour trying to figure out why Roon is not working until I notice that Tidal is open.

Best would be for Roon to be fixed as to not get upset when Tidal is open

You can stop Tidal starting somewhere in the Tidal settings. I’ve done it but I just can’t remember where the setting was.

Thanks - I didn’t think to look there.

It’s under Tidal -> Settings -> Account, scroll to the bottom and that’s where it is.

I’ve tried many times but it still restarts and just kill it when up I have to reboot…

UPDATE I just manually deleted the plus from the Launch Agents folder in user library folder … hope thats the end of it

It’s there in the Tidal settings. You have to disable auto start from within Tidal
