How to send multi channel DSD stream to Roon ready device untouched?

Hi, I use Roon for play my local library file to Roon ready devices.
Is there any way to send “Untouched” multi-channel DSD music to one of my device?
Here “Untouched” means no channel mix down, no PCM conversion, but native DSD or DoP(DSD over PCM). I enjoy multi channel DSD through my OPPO 203, OPPO 203 is Roon ready but it is not recognized by Roon as only 2CH capable device, however it is recognized as MCH capable device by Openhome or UPNP/DLNA renderer.
I know that OPPO 203 is discontinued, and manufacturer(OPPO) has no interest and won’t its upgrade nor update Roon ready certification.
Actually I use mConnect to send multi-Channel DSD file to OPPO 203, and it nicely send multi channel DoP signal to my AV Processor through HDMI, with UPNP protocol.

There is signal processing option for each device setting menu on Roon, but no “Send as it is” kind of option, instead, Roon only send 2CH down-sampled PCM to my OPPO 203, means Roon only process signal as exactly as what Roon ready device information said. No alternative, nor any other user-define option exist.

So, I have to run 2 software(Roon & mConnect), and if I want listen MCH DSD, it is a bit hassle. I want use only Roon, is there any way to force to send un-processed stream to any Roon ready device?

You can do that if you have a device that supports it. So no OPPO device for example.

Yes as there is no point in sending streams a device can’t use.

Oppo never supported multichannel RAAT in any way, shape, or form. Roon cannot be forced to output what an endpoint cannot support.

Yes, with a roon ready mc dsd capable dac. The DAC I have has the Ethernet connection between Roon and DAC and plays the signals as recorded, Stereo or MC, PCM or DSD.

Oh, thanks for clarification. I have to use mConnect app when I need MCH DSD playback then. Dame… :face_with_spiral_eyes:
But it is ok, can do things with alternative way than can’t do any.

I think the only way to do this is Windows running bridge, ASIO or WASAPI (driver that comes with your DAC), and a USB DAC that supports multiple channels. Otherwise, everything else will do DoP without a native driver.

The other, possible maybe, way is to string a couple stereo DACs together. Roon can remap channels to multiple endpoints? Maybe… I think someone figured this out. But, you’ll eventually have timing problems.

No, it’s also possible with a Linux, if the DAC is supported (like the Okto Research DAC 8 pro).

If you need a DAC or a Roon Endpoint, which supports multichannel DSD, take a look into products from Eversolo, exaSound, Merging, Topping, Okto Research,…

That seems a bit complicated for my side…
I don’t want any PC, ok, however my Roon is running on mini HP deskpro(small form factor). And my processor supports HDMI DSD Direct and multichannel DSD input through HDMI. I think that I can use my Roon PC for do job itself… then I have to bring it to Audio side(it is now located on my study… it is, second floor… all my gears located on first floor… I have to think about it…

EverSolo seems nice, I will check about it. Thanks!
