# How to ungroup album versions... option is greyed out

Hi - is there a reason the “Remove from Group” and “Make Primary” options are greyed out for all of my local albums that have multiple versions?

Are they grouped at all? It’s not visible in your screen shot whether there is a “group all“ button a bit further up. But if it lists versions under a “also in your library” heading it usually means they aren’t grouped

ahhhhh! got it - thanks - that makes sense now

in that case I think what I’m trying to achieve is for roon to display each “version” separately in the discography rather than collecting them together but I suspect that’s not possible

No, but you can make them appear separately in the My Albums view if you configure Settings \> General \> Browsing Preferences \> Show Hidden Tracks and Albums \> Yes

Thanks - yes, I have that option setup - the “Albums in my library” option on the overview page also works well for an artist with a few albums but just wondered if there was a similar setting for the full discography
