How to uninstall Roon from Macos?

I don’t want Roon Server installed on my Mac but I cannot seem to remove it. I have deleted the remote app. I have gone into the Library folder and deleted Roon, RAATSserver, the cache entry, and the Saved Application State entry.

When I put the Roon app back, it still wants to connect to a server on this laptop, which I don’t want. I cannot find a way to make it try to connect to my computer where the server is actually running. if I just let it try to connect it sits there forever and never times out.

Infuriating. I cannot restore Roon to a usable state on this computer.

The Roon app has installed both the server and the graphic control app for two years now. You can’t uninstall it but you can simply not run it.

There should be a Roon icon shown on your Mac menu bar at the top of the screen, at the right where the notifications, date, etc. are. Click this, uncheck „launch at startup“ and then click Quit in the menu.

Thank you! I don’t think I ever would have looked there to see that it was running something.

Now I’m back to my previous Just Not Working state where it can’t find the server on the other computer. :upside_down_face:

Open a tech support ticket if you can’t figure it out:

Yeah, I’m going through all their troubleshooting steps in their ticket flow. Currently thinking it’s a firewall issue.

Sounds like it might be this:
