Viewing log of HQPlayer Desktop I discovered a lot of “ReadFLACErrorCB(): lost sync” messages and albums were not added to my library. It seems to me everything is ok. Album manually added to HQPlayer Desktop run normally.

Which OS is this on? You could be also hitting some resource usage limits of the OS.
Ventura 13.7.8. Jussi in the meantime I discovered that in that folder there was a corrupted flac file so HQPlayer discarded the entire directory.
Problem now is when HQPlayer Desktop scans hundreds directories containing flac files. How can I find out which directories have been discarded in order to correct the corrupted files? Log report is difficult to analyze. Which is the correct format to name files and directories?
Again … I am waiting for M5 macmini. I hope it has better performance with respect to M4 macmini. Isn’t it?

Note that minimum required macOS version is 14.0, so on anything older you will likely have some misbehavior if it even starts. But certainly some functionality won’t work correctly on macOS version < 14.
I will add some more verbose logging when errors appear to explicitly state the path where it appears. This should help.
It is not really strict at as long as the files contain metadata. Recommendation is to have:
Artist/Album/00-Track.xyz
Cover images need to be in JPEG, PNG or GIF format and have “cover” or “folder” as part of the file name. HQPlayer can extract embedded covers to detached ones where the detached covers are missing. It is recommended to have both.
It should be, but we will see.
Thank you Jussi. I have a old version of software running on my Ventura. I was not able to install the recent version of HQPlayer Desktop.
Consequentially I will not have the verbose logging until I have this hardware.
