I installed HQplayer desktop on my windows machine , and Also have a server with linux running Roonserver, i can select the HQplayer correctly but when I press play no sound at all and error too many errors , I think something in the set up.any help will be appreciated, I selected ALLOW CONTROL BY NETWORK , but I want to know wich other basics settings I am missing to make it work , in the other windows machine I can hee music if I import it

You can post screenshots of your HQP settings …

Please check that the IP address you have specified in Roon points to your Windows desktop machine. And that any potential firewall is not blocking the incoming connection.

here some screenshots

now I have sound but on my laptop using the HQplayer zone , but Dont know how to make sound to my dac , I dont see it

I read that the dac must be connected to the machine running HQplayer. and what I want is to use my Allo usb endpoint ,and the 30 minutes trial time is not helpfull at all,

Sorry, but as first question, why do you have HQPlayer version 4 running as trial instead of version 5? This old version 4 is not available for purchase anymore.

You need to have HQPlayer NAA running there. And then from HQPlayer settings you can select Network Audio backend, and your DAC behind the Allo should appear on the device list.

You just need to restart HQPlayer every 30 minutes…

I will install the HQ player in the RoonServer PC and will connect it to my DAC via spdif , because I suspect the Allo wont tolerate the HQplayer installed on it. my dubt is what embedded version of HQplayer do I have to download ,given that I have Linuxmint running on the server , and wich is the procedure to boot it correctly without affecting the actual roonserver ,

Since Mint has graphical desktop, HQPlayer Desktop for Ubuntu 24.04 is correct for Mint 22 based systems (Mint 22 is based on Ubuntu 24.04). The regular build requires AVX2 instruction set, while the Intel build supports CPUs from SSE4.2 up. So depending on your CPU model (?).
