HQPlayer + Roon + RopieeeXL issue

Hi all,

HQPlayer/Roon used to work, long time ago, with my setup, but with the new 4.17.1, impossible to make it ok…

Here’s my setup
Roon Server on a Nas Synology (wired), HQPlayer properly configured (to Mac IP)
HQPlayer Desktop 4.17.1 (trial version) on a Macbook Air M1 (wifi)
RopieeeXl on a Raspberry Pi with HQPLayer NAA enabled (wired)

HQPlayer + Ropieee works fine : i can play local files from my mac.

From Roon, all is starting ok, but the timing is locked at 00:00…

Thanks for your help !!

HQPlayer is not able to connect to your Roon server at 192.168.1.3, connection just times out.

Firewall or something there?

Thanks for your answer @jussi_laako

You’re right, if i turn off the firewall on the nas, it works. Do you know what specific port i have to open ?

If I am not mistaken, then what is after the colon after your IP address should be the port - in your case then 54510.

Thank for your advice @Sheemie_Ruiz ! I’ve tried, but it doesn’t work…

ok, logs display another port now, this is why it didn’t work…

ok i’ve found the problem : there was a mistake in my firewall settings for all the local network (192.168.0.0 vs 192.168.1.0)

My mistake, sorry to have bother you with this, and thanks for the help !

Used ports are dynamic, there’s no any specific port to open. It will keep changing.
